“The company was set up 20 years ago by my husband, Alan who started off as a one man show and then he employed two people. In 2009,we moved to Canada for a year as it was during the recession and that was an invaluable year because Alan worked on different projects over there and it was great experience,” said Lisa Lynch.
“When we came back, he was doing some sub-contracting work for the ESB and then he decided that he wanted to become a main contractor doing mostly residential work and one off builds.
“We know the heartbreak as well as the joy and the stress of a new build as we completed our house two years ago. The business is flying and we have 34 employees. The company is going from strength to strength.
“The amount of renovation work that is coming in is great. People are looking at their homes and they are thinking about what they can do to improve their homes considering a lot of people are working from home. There are a lot of home offices and attic conversions being done. Last summer we noticed a lot of patio work coming in as well as their driveways. We also partnered up with Flexifi last year,” added Mrs Lynch.
“Our work is a good mix of residential and commercial. At the moment, we’re working on a massive project with Cairn Homes in Citywest.”
In terms of the future for A Lynch Construction?
“There is never going to be enough houses and everyone wants their dream home so we’re here to supply it! Alan’s whole motto is that you’re only as good as your last job and he has serious OCD when it comes to his work, he is very particular and everything has to be done right which is great for his clients because they know that they are getting great work,” concluded Lisa Lynch.
