Bringing your gardening aspirations to life…

In conversation with Mark Bolger of Beechwood Landscape and Design

Story Highlights
  • "It is important to make the most of the space that you have."
  • "People have very much changed their lifestyle so essentially the garden design is created to fit in with what they need."

Beechwood Landscape and Design was established in 2007 by Mark Bolger to provide a complete landscaping, garden design and maintenance service for both residential and commercial customers in Dublin and Wicklow.

By offering an all inclusive service to customers, providing concept through to completion programme on your garden landscape projects through to regular maintenance as a stand alone or regular service they cover all all aspects of your garden needs.

“Over the last number of years, we have evolved the business in response to what the customer is looking for.

People’s requirements for a garden have evolved to a point where the garden is now an extension of their home or another room!

The garden might need to be a space for kids to play an entertainment space for the adults and also provide a degree of planting.

The main theme for new gardens tend to be for clean lines, with one or two paved area, synthetic grass and planting that is low maintenance,” explained Mark.

“It is important to make the most of the space that you have. Everyone is different and they all would like something specific for their garden so for us it is very important to listen to the customer whilst offering them the best option for the space they have.

People have very much changed their lifestyle so essentially the garden design is created to fit in with what they need whilst within the space they have.

“For us, figuring out what people actually want and then designing a garden to fit them is our strength”. With almost twenty years experience I have the learned that in most cases the customers will have a rough idea on what they would like or need.

Our skill is to take those conversations and turn them into components to build a functional and designed space to enjoy.

It is important for the client to have some sense of what they want before we begin to build/ design, that way we can create a garden for them that will be better than what they thought imaginable,’ added Mark.
