Eirsolar: Helping the Environment

Founded by two lifelong friends, Ian and Sean, Eirsolar is a relatively new yet impactful player in Ireland’s renewable energy sector. The company was born out of a shared vision to make solar technology more widely available, and to encourage customers to commit to carbon reduction and to see their output as an investment which for a typical customer pays itself back in 6 years.

Sean, with an extensive background in the solar industry, teamed up with Ian, a former tax and accounting professional, to tackle the issues they observed in the sector, including the cumbersome grant processes and all too often a lack of personalised and professional service. Operating out of Dublin, Eirsolar serves the entire Leinster region, offering tailored solar solutions that are designed to help customers achieve not just long-term savings, add value to their homes, boost BER ratings and contribute positively to the environment.

Eirsolar provides a range of products including solar panels, battery storage systems, EV charging stations, hot water diverters, and immersion timer switches. One example of a product’s impact is the 5KW Solar PV system, which, over its lifetime, can reduce a household’s carbon footprint by 43.75 tonnes of CO2. With systems like this, environmentally conscious homeowners can cut their energy bills by up to 75% per year.

With grants of up to €2,100 available, Eirsolar, an SEAI approved installer, also supports customers through the SEAI grant application process. Customers benefit from a 0% VAT rate on solar installations, making the switch to renewable energy even more financially appealing. With a 25-year manufacturer warranty on their panels and a commitment to regular system reviews, Eirsolar ensures customers receive optimal performance and benefits from their installations.
