Lighting Up the Industry with a New Showroom

Story Highlights
  • “People often forget you don’t have to have a plain white socket or switch - we offer designed lighting fixtures that can blend seamlessly into any room design.”

Since its founding in 2015 by Robert Sutton and Bill Hopkins, Waveform Electrical Wholesalers (WEW) has quickly become a leading name in Ireland’s electrical wholesale industry. Starting with just four employees, the company has expanded to a team of eleven and now serves both local and national markets. Specialising in control and automation, WEW offers a wide range of products, including domestic and industrial electrical supplies, decorative and garden lighting, and high-quality tools from brands like Dewalt, Knipex, and Stanley.

A major highlight for WEW in the past year has been the opening of their new lighting showroom at Unit 10, Ashbourne Retail Park – open 6 days a week, Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm. This showroom is dedicated entirely to their extensive range of lighting products, making it a key destination for builders, renovators, and homeowners alike. From stylish recessed and track lighting to practical solutions like spotlights for kitchens and wardrobes, the showroom showcases everything needed to illuminate any space.

In addition to popular lighting brands like Forum, WEW exclusively stocks Visconte chandeliers and offers outdoor lighting options from Fumagalli, known for its weather-resistant resin products. WEW’s experts in domestic and decorative lighting excel in helping customers find the perfect lighting solutions, whether for a new build or a home renovation. A big seller for WEW are electric car chargers – they are one of the biggest suppliers in the country for retail and wholesale. The showroom also stocks PV solar panels, energy efficient electrical heaters, and garden patio heaters with smart home switching. The new premises even offers next day delivery as a minimum, with same day delivery available on early orders.
WEW supports Irish distributors and products. The company also engages with the community through sponsorships, including local GAA teams. With the launch of their online webshop, WEW is now making it easier than ever for customers across Ireland to access their broad range of products.

Looking to the future, WEW plans to expand with a second branch in Dublin, continuing to build on their success and reputation. Whether you’re a professional or a DIY enthusiast, WEW’s new lighting showroom offers both inspiration and expertise to help light up your projects.
