- "A lot of people that would contact me would know exactly what they want."
- "There is a right way and a wrong way to do things but people are usually always happy with where I mark these things out on drawings."
Sawmill Wood Working and Construction’s mission is to create spaces that are comfortable, memorable and inspiring. Owner of the company, Tadhg Lyons started his carpentry career in Ireland 30 years ago followed by a move to New York in 2002 where he began his craft of making custom kitchens working with some of New York’s top designers and Architects.
He opened his own NYC construction company in 2012 where he specialised in cabinet making.
Mr Lyons returned to Ireland in 2022 and has now opened Sawmill Wood Working and Construction in County Limerick, where he hopes to bring expertise and craftsmanship to your projects.
This company’s services include bespoke kitchens, custom cabinets, custom mouldings, skirting boards and architrave, custom solid wood internal and external doors, coffered ceilings, custom panelling, extensions, decking and pergolas.
“A client will usually send me some pictures of what they are thinking about and I will send them back a drawing along with a price.
The biggest differences when it comes to Ireland and America in terms of construction is that we would be similar in our outlook but the type of client would be different; in America I would be dealing with architects and designers.
A lot of people that would contact me would know exactly what they want,” explained Tadhg.
“If you were building a new house, I would ask the home owner to send me on their plans and once I have taken a look at them, I will arrange to meet you and give a rough idea of where x, y and z should go especially in the kitchen.
There is a right way and a wrong way to do things but people are usually always happy with where I mark these things out on drawings.”
