- “My work gives me a great sense of accomplishment.”
- “Each project is unique, that’s why managing the end-to-end process myself gives customers peace of mind.”
Lily Landscapes is a company that specialises in multi-functional outdoor spaces for gardens of all shapes and sizes. Customers are guaranteed an on-hand expert and no fuss experience where all work is executed to the highest quality standards.
Their services include groundworks, roll out turf, fencing, planting, artificial grass, putting greens, custom sleeper, landscape design, hardscaping (paving, patios and garden walls) and custom drainage solutions.
The business has gone 10 fold, every week I’m meeting with new customers. Last year, I was doing most of the work myself and I wasn’t sure whether or not to employ someone whereas this year I’m looking at hiring a few people, said Darren.
“There are a lot of companies out there that only focus on one or two areas where I offer a variety of services and I can do a lot of the work for the customer rather than them having to go to a few companies when it comes to their garden.
“I absolutely love what I do. My work gives a great sense of accomplishment, especially when you are looking at the before and after results, it makes getting out of bed easier on a Monday morning!
“We’re based in Kildare and eventually I would like to travel further afield. At the moment, I have a golden triangle between home, where my suppliers are based and where the work is.
I have surprised myself in the last 12 months with what I’ve achieved and being able to give my customers their dream garden has been really rewarding. As there are so many strings to the business, every day is different and you are never getting comfortable!
Each project is unique, that’s why managing the end-to-end process myself gives customers peace of mind. I’m always only a text or call away so if there’s a question, whatever the time, you can get me.
“Some people don’t know what they are looking for when it comes to their garden but I provide guidance as to what to do or suggest good suppliers to visit to get some ideas – even Pinterest if that’s your thing! Other people have lots of ideas with their own drawings ready to go.
“Homeowners can do a relatively low maintenance garden involving paving or a sunken seating area with a fire pit in the middle of it. Artificial grass with paving in the corner is another low maintenance option.
Couples with young children or pets need to have a practical garden that works for their individual needs – And for those where practicality isn’t a priority, I always encourage them to try something creative!
Creating the right garden space for you not only revives your home but gives you that important connection to the outdoors and opens up a new place for you and your family to chill out,’’ concluded Darren.
