Mastercraft Joinery is a provider of bespoke carpentry, with over 20 years experience in the industry.
Mastercraft Joinery caters to both private and commercial customers alike.
Providers of custom carpentry, this company caters for all interiors from contemporary kitchens to classic, more traditional cut string stairs, custom built bookcases and all second fixing. They also offer a comprehensive spraying service and installation of all interior woodwork and cabinetry.
Specialising in all types of panelling from traditional raised panel wainscoting to the more contemporary beading and shaker style, whatever your taste, there is something for everyone at Mastercraft.
“Woodwork has always been in the family as my Father is a Carpenter by trade and I would have always had an interest in this field since the time I was a young child. My love for the craft really began when I went to America in my teens to play football and I got a summer job with a joinery firm in Boston.
They worked on fine finish, high end carpentry projects and under the tutelage of my boss, and Galway native Peter Murray, my interest grew from there once I began to see the scope and variety of joinery that could be done,’’ said Jonathan Barry.
“Taking the raw materials whether it is cherry oak or mahogany and transforming it into the finished product is all about the love and care that you give the product.
Transforming the raw material to the finished result is what gives me great enjoyment and people can’t believe the transformation from beginning to end.
“I try to give each project the same level of attention to detail as well as love and care. I always try to give products and customers the highest level of quality work,’’ he enthused.
This company is based in the North West of Ireland but Jonathan will travel for work.
“At the moment, I’m working on some home renovation projects with a lot of panelling which seems to be getting very popular again. I specialise in panelling and custom pieces like that. Parquet floors are also being revived again.”
In terms of the future for Mastercraft Joinery?
“Going forward, I would love to see Mastercraft Joinery being known for bespoke, custom pieces. Furniture has become like fast fashion in recent years, disposable and often poorly made or of low quality. We take pride in the premium materials that we use and strive to maintain that level and quality throughout our products. We aim to not just meet the clients expectations but exceed them,’’ added Jonathan Barry.
