The setting for Kiwi Complete Bathrooms is already unique. Google maps brings us into rural County Kildare on the Grand Canal just 15 minutes from Naas. From the large car park we are led to a beautiful restored building beneath the Travellers Rest Pub.

Kiwi Complete Bathrooms Design Centre and Showrooms is the heart of this charming operation. We meet Sammy at a large oak table at the back of the showroom to have a chat.

Why Kiwi Complete Bathrooms?

“Because we take the ‘bullshit,’ out of bathrooms! Apologising for the language he jokes in a clearly New Zealand Kiwi accent (hence the company name).

With 28 years experience as a plumber, a fleet of 24 vehicles, with all trades in the building sector, working directly within the company, Kiwi Complete Bathrooms has the experience and the teamwork to get projects delivered without complications and with the utmost of respect to clients and their home,” Sammy.

What is a typical day for Kiwi Complete Bathrooms?

“Every day there are eight or nine projects that all of the team are working on all at various stages, plumbers, tillers, carpenters , electricians all working in sync with each- other on projects I have designed with clients from a single design consultation here in the shop.

The shop itself opens at 9am selling a full range of bathroom, plumbing and tiling products to the trade and the public.

Not to mention selling Milwaukee tools and a huge range of bathroom mirrors and smart mirrors also available on kiwimirror.com.

Kiwi Complete Bathrooms prides itself on the team ethos and the respect for all the team members.

I am extremely privileged and proud to work within this group of kind and talented people.

The shop is a calm environment but also extremely busy. Louise, Elaine and Ciara carry out all of the day to day running of the shop to ensure clients get a wonderful service.

Everything from a client phone call enquiring about a new bathroom to a busy builder requiring a pallet of adhesive. All clients get professionalism and decency.

What is the process for a bathroom makeover or a new build house?

“Both start the same way, contact the shop on social media or phone the shop on 045859774 to book a design meeting with me.

I carry out design meetings from 10am right through to 10pm to accommodate all clients.

“I have always had an interest in interior design as well as being a qualified plumber. I started my business in Ireland in 2004 and have designed and built thousands of bathrooms in that time.

“During the design meeting I will listen to the client and their individual / family requirements.

“As a 44 year old father of six, I feel qualified to help and advise in regards to the family function and aesthetics of the project.

The practical and pragmatic solutions as well as the design and style concepts. We genuinely care about every project and what we can do to surpass our clients experience and expectations,” he enthused.

Do you design and supply for self builds?

Absolutely. Not only that but as a plumber I can liaise between the home owner and their tradesmen to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Again this is out of respect for both the client and the tradesmen carrying out the work.

I simply just ask and clarify what the client wants to install and what the sub contractor is comfortable or used to installing. We can offer all the tiles, bathroom ware, wood floors and even carpet all directly from our shop.

What is next for Kiwi Complete Bathrooms?

It’s all ready started! We launched KCB Construction last year offering all types of renovations, attic conversions, kitchen extensions etc.

This has been amazing, a continuation of the same model of the bathroom projects just on a grander scale, again no bullshit, just great service.

The intention is to continue the Kiwi Complete Bathrooms brand across the home renovation market in Leinster.
