Home staging is much more than just preparing the property for sale; it is way beyond cleaning and decluttering; it is all about presenting your home in the best light to show its full potential to prospective buyers!

Home staging will increase positive features and reduce negative aspects, it will make your home look bigger, brighter, cleaner, more welcoming and inviting to potential buyers. Smart Home Staging’s goal is to increase the appeal of your home to the maximum and help you sell it quicker and at the highest possible price.

When I worked in the real estate agency and showing houses to potential buyers I noticed that it is very difficult to see the property’s potential when its empty, dirty and cold looking. Many people cannot see the positive aspects when the property is unfurnished, the rooms are painted in strong colours and things left by previous tenants or owners are visible around! On the other side there are owner occupied houses which are already tastefully furnished and decorated but just need some final touches like cleaning, de-cluttering and de-personalizing, so the buyers can imagine living in the space themselves rather than see personal belonging of the home sellers, said Martyna.

“There are so many different aspects to this job as I’m trying to deliver a professional service that is affordable to my clients.

When you look at a property that is going to be staged, you have to be able to identify where the home owner should spend the money on presenting their home for sale, and where they shouldn’t to avoid additional unnecessary costs.

The new owner may have their own ideas about what they want to do with the space, however updating and refreshing the existing interior can help them to see the property’s full potential. You have to be very creative to run this sort of a business!

“I also offer room re-design and de-cluttering service to the clients that are not selling. Changing the d├ęcor or simply rearranging existing furniture and adding some new pieces can give your home a fresh new look. I know some people find it hard to decide when it comes to what they want to keep or give away. We are all the same in that we keep stuff that we do not need and we all create clutter every day! When your property is properly cleaned and de-cluttered, you will feel much better living in that space and sometimes you don’t realise this until someone steps in and explains to you how much easier it would be to live in a de-cluttered space,” concluded Martyna.
