Sandra Kelly of Stone Link talks to Build & Renovate

My promise is to listen and guide you with my experience whilst making your vision come to life as I strive to exceed your expectations.

Story Highlights
  • "People are looking for colour now as they are definitely getting over grey and white."
  • "I will make an appointment with the clients to select the materials, discuss the practicalities of each material and the various applications they can be used for."

Sandra Kelly created Stone Link in 2021 with one purpose in mind – to take the pain out of the process of selecting, personalising and installing beautiful stone for your home or business.

Sandra has curated a range of high quality stone to bring style and add value to her customers’ homes.
She has been building trust with customers for more than 20 years and a cornerstone to this is the personalised end-to-end service that she offers to each and every customer.

When taking on a project her aim is to treat you as though she is fitting out her own home and to be there with you every step of the way. Sandra’s process has always been to understand her customers’ vision for their home and work with them to make it a reality. This process includes choosing the perfect stone, helping create a bespoke design tailored to your home and lifestyle.

She has helped hundreds of customers create a unique and personal kitchen, bathroom or office to be proud of and she would be thrilled to talk with you about your vision for your home. Her promise is to listen and guide you with her experience whilst making your vision come to life as she strives to exceed your expectations.

Over the years, I always knew that someone with experience needed to be out there on site working on all aspects of the project explaining to people how it all works as well as breaking it all down as it can be very overwhelming. This is exactly where I come in, said Sandra Kelly.

“I will make an appointment with the clients to select the materials, discuss the practicalities of each material and the various applications they can be used for as well as the aftercare service.

“Over the years, I’ve always had people contact me directly anyway and many referrals from past clients coming to me so when I started my own business, I contacted all of the designers and people that I knew telling them what I was doing and I received a lot of support which was amazing,” she enthused.

In terms of colours Sandra is seeing creeping through?
“People are looking for colour now as they are definitely getting over grey and white. It is going back towards earthy tones and natural stone is becoming very popular again.

It is so nice to see people using natural materials once again as it has so many uses like work tops / bar tops, vanity tops etc. Plus each piece has its own unique beauty that cannot be replicated.

“Dekton and Neolith are relatively new products to our industry, engineered stone with a difference, extremely heat & scratch resistant with a zero absorption rate so therefore 100% hygienic.

The colours are amazing and extremely popular for both worktops and feature backsplashes for example. “At the end of the day, it is all about the client’s lifestyle and budget when choosing stone.

When it comes to generic advice she would give to people in advance of them contacting her?
“If you have a colour scheme in mind along with pictures of the styles that you like, with some basic dimensions send them on to me, that will give me direction. This information helps break down the first part of the process. After that I will arrange an appointment to take it to the next phase, choosing your materials.

As to the future of Stone Link?
“I’m not even 12 months in business yet but I’m really happy with where I’m at. I have some amazing clients, and the personal touch is hugely important to me. As for the future of Stone Link? I am very optimistic about the future and looking forward to meeting and working alongside many more amazing clients in the years to come,” concluded Sandra Kelly.
