“The business is absolutely mental! We have doubled the number of employees and we are more than likely going to be taking on more employees as our workload is massive.

“With continued COVID-19 restrictions in place, we are being forced to be creative about how to safely meet with family and close friends; many of us find ourselves using our backyards, porches and patios more.

Customers are looking to improve their own outside area with fencing and paving products and now value their garden more than before lockdown- outdoor living has never been so desirable!” added Ms McDonald.

“We sell Tobermore and Barleystone paving slabs and paving stone and we have had a huge increase in sales of all these products over the past year. It’s great for us that the business is going so well.

When it comes to the future of Central Precast, what does Loretta see coming down the line?
“We’re currently working on completing a display yard for all our products and going forward we aim to incorporate a retail space where customers can purchase DIY products in conjunction with our current products. Our aim for the next couple of years is to continue to grow and be a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products and dealer of landscaping masonry products in Ireland,” concluded Loretta McDonald.
