Kilroy’s Kitchens are experienced kitchen providers with their main showroom based in Mullingar, County Westmeath.
Their central locations along with superb attention to detail, the use of the finest products and finished with quality fitting makes this company stand out from their competitors.
“The business has grown from being just myself to a team of eight of us now and thankfully things are going great.
We bring a very different experience to the customer, both in terms of the design and the quality of our work as our kitchens will see people out.
We have good man power now so we’re able to travel a bit further for work which is great. 85% of our business comes through recommendations,” said John Kilroy.
“When it comes to a new build, we will work with the customer for a long time.
we won’t just sell them a kitchen and then fit it,we would have customers coming into us with their initial drawings before they would even have planning permission and we would be building the house around the kitchen for them.
We would work alongside plumbers, electricians etc.”
When it comes to styles John can see maintaining their popularity?
“Shaker doors along with the traditional style are holding their own but I can see a little bit of the raised panels creeping back in. Slab or handle-less kitchens are also very popular. We can do anything for anyone; we can also do a corner larder press so everything off the kitchen counter can go into this walk in corner larder which is something we’re very fond of. A little bit of timber is creeping back in also which I do like to see,” he continued.
“I’m also fond of the earthy type colours for a kitchen and a navy kitchen is quite cool. We are also doing a lot of solid painted kitchens.
We like smart practical designs as well as giving great value to the customer, we have noticed that people want to live in their homes and whilst paint can chip when it comes to the solid painted kitchen we use a pre-finished coating (PFC).
On the doors which makes them very durable, they are similar to composite doors and they are built for houses where there is living going on with children banging in to them with their toys and so on. This is a fantastic product and we’re getting great feed back on it.” John Kilroy
As to the short term future for Kilroy’s Kitchens?
“I would like to expand the business with some showrooms in other towns around the midlands. The business is in operation for the last few years but it has expanded very fast and the proof is in the pudding as the majority of the business comes from referrals which is great. We’re giving the customer the best we can give every time,” finished Mr Kilroy.
