The return on a solar system is a lot quicker!

“There a lot of homeowners installing solar in their homes. Munster Solar was established six years ago when I returned from Australia having spent almost seven years working in the solar energy field. The business has grown over the last couple of years and we now have a team of roofers and electricians,” explained Eddie O’Meara.

“With the price increases we have seen in electricity, the return on a solar system is a lot quicker. Currently, we’re working on a lot of new builds as the home owners have realised that unless they install a solar system, they are going to have large bills. Over the next few years, I do think it will become mandatory to install solar pv when it comes to a new build.

As to advice Eddie would offer customers when it comes to solar power?

“Try and get a system installed during the winter months rather than in the middle of the summer. If you can get a system installed in the winter or spring, you will be ready for the summer and credits will begin to build up with what you have exported during the summer months as you approach the winter months,” added Mr O’Meara.
