Pop your cork by using CorkSol!

CorkSol  has a vision  to increase building efficiency by providing natural, high performing cork based sustainable coatings for commercial and residential properties.

“It is a completely sustainable, natural and renewable product. Cork granules are sprayed on to the wall of a property, it comes in 28 different colours and it is a lovely decorative coating to the external finish of a property. This product is waterproof, it is breathable, it is flexible and it adds insulation value to the wall. Internally, it eliminates condensation on walls, it cures damp, it gets rid of mould and mildew,” explained Gerry Sheridan.

“We only launched this new business earlier in the year and we’re getting a really good response to it from the homeowner. We’re training people and we’re getting installers on board. There are a number of great jobs already done across Ireland and the business is really starting to take off.

“For anyone who is looking to freshen up their external walls or for a complete makeover of their home, CorkSol will make it look like a brand new house both in finish and with the colour choices available. This product can also cover up cracks in masonry, it gets rid of discolouration, it stops moisture penetrating the wall and it is also sea salt resistant so the product can be used in coastal areas. There are a lot of applications for CorkSol.  Internally, it can be used in any type of building for condensation control.

“There are no added chemicals to it, it is just pure cork and there is a water based glue used to stick it to the wall and a slight pigmentation for the required colour. It also comes with a 25 year guarantee, it will never fade and it requires no maintenance. CorkSol can be power washed if required but it generally self cleans with rain water.

“Over the winter, we will be concentrating on internal applications as this product can be used as a thin internal wall insulation (TIWI) and it can be skimmed over and painted, there is no need for any major renovation work or disruption to your home,” added Mr Sheridan.
