- "Our SprayCork solution is gaining traction because it’s a versatile, eco-friendly insulation option with an impressive range of benefits."
Kevin Holland Plastering, a trusted name in County Cork, is making waves with an innovative insulation product called SprayCork. With over 20 years of experience in the plastering and coatings industry, Kevin has recently focused his expertise on this cutting-edge solution as a CorkSol Approved Applicator. Kevin now specialises in providing a modern, cork-based coating that enhances energy efficiency and building protection for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
SprayCork is an eco-friendly coating designed to reduce heat loss by up to 30%, making it a powerful insulation choice for any building. Alongside this impressive thermal performance, SprayCork serves as a sound barrier, is fireproof and waterproof, and is built to last. Its durability and crack resistance make it an excellent option for coastal regions, where harsh weather is common. In addition, the breathable nature of cork allows it to work well with older buildings by preventing dampness and rot—perfect for retrofitting projects where traditional materials might fall short.
The application process involves three coatings, bringing the finished layer to around 6-7mm in thickness. After the first spray, which dries overnight, two additional coats are applied the next day. With over 30 colours to choose from and the option for custom colour matching, customers can tailor the finish to their design needs. Kevin shares, “This past year, it’s really taken off—people are seeing the benefits.”
Looking ahead, Kevin Holland is enthusiastic about expanding the business. “I really believe that the product has a bright future,” he says. As demand for eco-friendly, high-performance insulation grows, Kevin Holland Plastering is set to bring SprayCork to even more clients across the region.
